INFINITE SPACES IS PART OF A SERIES OF LIGHT ART INSTALLATIONS WE CREATED TO EXPLORE THE INTERACTIONS OF VIDEO, LIGHT AND REFLECTION. IT WAS EXHIBITED AT THE ADELAIDE FRINGE IN 2021.
THE AUDIENCE STEPPED INSIDE A RHYTHMIC LANDSCAPE OF STROBING ENERGY AND MIRRORED GEOMETRIC FORMS. AN ENDLESS ANIMATION THAT CHALLENGED THEIR PERCEPTIONS OF SPACE. WHERE THEY WERE INVITED TO EXPLORE THE DEPTHS OF OUTWARD REFLECTION AND THE INTIMATE BOUNDS OF INWARD INTROSPECTION.
THE PIECE COMPRISED A SERIES OF INFINITY BOXES, WHICH WERE DESIGNED TO RESPOND TO REFLECTIONS AND ALIGN SEAMLESSLY. THE BOXES DISPLAYED A VARIETY OF CUSTOM VIDEO CONTENT, WHICH WE CREATED IN COLLABORATION WITH DAN FROM LEDS AKIMBO.
INCREDIBLY, WE WERE ABLE TO PRODUCE THIS INSTALLATION REMOTELY, ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD, AMID A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. IT WAS ALL MADE POSSIBLE BY GOOD FRIENDS AND FOUNDERS OF THE ADELAIDE FRINGE, HEATHER, NICK AND LUCAS.
